Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for peri-operative areas (Preop, OR, Recovery) to provide safe, quality patient care. You will assess patients, coordinate interventions, document care, and educate patients and families throughout the surgical process.

The role requires an active MI RN license and ADN; experience in peri-operative settings is preferred. Schedule is weekdays with early starts and potential after-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
• ADN required.
• Experience in the Peri-operative area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status in preop, OR, and post‑op areas and ongoing.
• Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate nursing interventions to achieve outcomes and discharge readiness.
• Document interventions and patient responses.
• Communicate patient conditions with surgeons, anesthesia, and staff.
• Safely carry out physician orders and document activities.
• Initiate and participate in patient and family education.
• Assess learning needs and patient maturity in learning.
• Maintain competency in OR circulator and conscious sedation.
