Job summary

The Michigan Institute of Urology PC is seeking an ASC Registered Nurse in the OR to provide safe, quality patient care before, during, and after surgery, while assisting the surgeon and surgical team.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, with BSN preferred and a minimum of 2 years OR nursing experience. You will work in a busy operating room, maintain HIPAA confidentiality, and use EMR to document care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years OR nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Consults with health care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Prepares operating room for procedures.
• Evaluates patient information and provides bedside care pre- and post-surgery.
• Functions in scrub and circulating nurse roles.
• Assists in patient positioning and safety.
• Communicates preoperative instructions to the patient.
