Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• 1–3 years RN experience; orthopedic, neurosurgical, pain management experience preferred.
• Current BLS; ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Screening for surgeries and coordinating with pre-anesthesia testing.
• Provide nursing care following age-specific standards for adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
• Document patient care accurately in the patient record.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team for discharge planning and education.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain confidentiality.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Current state RN license

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 6 months
