Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care from pediatrics to geriatrics in a fast-paced setting. You will apply the nursing process, guide the care team, and participate in discharge planning to ensure safe, quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; Associates degree required, BSN preferred
• Current licensure in the State of North Carolina or compact multi-state RN license required
• BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS/PALS to be obtained within 6 months (preferred on hire)
• Minimum 1 year perioperative nursing experience; critical care experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across age groups (4 weeks to geriatric) per nursing process
• Supervise and guide team members; may act in absence of manager for PACU decisions
• Coordinate patient discharge planning with care team
• Follow age-specific standards in medications and care during anesthesia/analgesia
• Document patient care accurately in the chart
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives
• Complete additional duties as assigned
