Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
• One year ICU/ED/PACU and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
• Current state licensure to practice nursing in the state
• BLS/BCLS required within 90 days of employment; ACLS and PALS as applicable

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative status per policies (cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, pain and comfort).
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide nursing care, safety, education, and advocacy throughout the perioperative period.
• Transfer care and provide accurate hand-off reports to teammates.
• Maintain patient rights, privacy, and cultural competency in care.
