Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. in Vermont is seeking a registered nurse to cover One Day Surgery, Endoscopy, and Recovery. You will provide direct nursing care, utilize the Nursing Process, and delegate tasks as appropriate within the nursing framework.

The role requires ADN/BSN, valid VT RN license (or compact state), BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred. You will work in a fast-paced perioperative setting with a strong emphasis on patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Vermont RN license in good standing or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS.
• PALS (preferred).
• Basic Dysrhythmia.
• De-escalation Training (Required after hire).
• Procedural Sedation skills (Required within 3 months).
• Aseptic technique (Required within 3 months).
• Six months nursing experience desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing Care Knowledge across lifespan.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency in technology used in care delivery.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)
• Basic Dysrhythmia
• De-escalation Training (Required completion at first course offering after hire)
• Procedural Sedation skills (Required within three (3) months of hire)
• Aseptic technique (Required within three (3) months of hire)
• Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products.
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.

Salary Range:

The base rate for this position is $35.13 - $57.64 per hour. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education and experience of the successful candidate.
