Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durham, part of Surgery Partners, seeks a skilled PACU nurse to deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care across age groups. You will assess patients, implement care plans, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient recoveries.

The role requires NC (or compact) RN licensure, an associates degree (BSN preferred), BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred or obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; Associates degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current licensure in the State of North Carolina or compact multi-state RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients across age groups (4 weeks to geriatric).
• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Collaborate with the care team for discharge planning and readiness.
• Ensure age-specific standards and safety in analgesia and anesthesia related care.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
