Job summary

Surgery Partners' North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Preop/PACU. The role provides comprehensive, age-appropriate perioperative nursing care in PACU with supervision of the care team. Requires RN license in NC, BLS, ACLS/PALS preferred, and 1+ year perioperative experience.

The position supports a 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM schedule in a hospital with a strong patient-safety culture and opportunities for tuition assistance and benefits. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; Associates degree required, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure in the State of North Carolina or compact multi-state RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA/ARC required on hire; ACLS/PALS preferred and must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, safe nursing care for patients across age continuum (4 weeks to geriatric) in PACU.
• Direct and supervise team members; assist manager in decision making for patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Document patient care accurately in the chart.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and quality initiatives.
