Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the PACU to deliver comprehensive perioperative care across age groups. You will utilize the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and provide supervision in the absence of leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure in North Carolina or compact multi-state license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred or obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across age groups per standards.
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Supervise and guide care team; may act in absence of manager.
• Ensure safe medication administration with age-adjusted protocols.
• Coordinate discharge planning with care team.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
