Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of employment; preferred on hire.
• Minimum 1 year perioperative nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate discharge planning with the care team.
• Apply age-specific standards for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrate professional supervision and guidance to staff as needed.
• Document patient care in the medical record.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and problem-solving teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
