Job summary

Mercy Health in Defiance, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room to deliver high-quality perioperative care. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, assess patient status, and perform pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing duties to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associates or Bachelors), current RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable, and OR internship or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable depending on department requirements

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment
• Observe the surgery and surgical team to maintain a safe environment
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate with other providers
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care and discharge instructions
• Perform other duties as assigned
