Job summary

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position at Bon Secours Mercy Health – Defiance Hospital delivers exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical suite. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess patients and support safe, efficient procedures.

Requires an accredited nursing degree (AS/BSN) and active RN licensure; BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred. OR or critical care experience is valued; competitive benefits and training opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are preferred or must be obtained per hospital policy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment in the OR.
• Observe the surgery and assist the team to maintain a safe environment.
• Coordinate the needs of the surgical team with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care and discharge instructions.
