Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at the Abington campus. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with a day shift, focusing on perioperative care and patient education. Completion of Periop 101 preferred.

The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, apply evidence-based practices, and support the family in planning through recovery, ensuring safety and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma in nursing required.
• Patient- and Family-Centered Practice knowledge.
• Cultural Awareness and ability to connect with diverse patients.
• Effective Communication and partnership with patients and families.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and patient education.
• Active RN license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and staff to deliver safe, coordinated care.
