Job summary

Jefferson Health's Abington campus is hiring a Registered Nurse - Operating Room. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with a Day shift, joining a team focused on patient- and family-centered care and high-quality perioperative processes.

The RN will apply nursing knowledge in perioperative care, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on treatments and recovery steps while maintaining safety and compliance with hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Patient-and Family-Centered Practice knowledge for care planning.
• Cultural Awareness and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Effective communication to engage patients and families.
• Knowledge of patient assessment, diagnoses and care plans.
• Education of patients and designates on condition and next steps.
• Discharge planning and post-discharge needs coordination.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and procedures.
