Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Perioperative (periop) knowledge preferred (Periop 101).
• Strong emphasis on patient and family involvement in care planning.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate across disciplines.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and post-hospital needs.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the operating room setting per established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure safe care delivery.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and meds.
• Assist with patient assessment, documentation, and handoffs.
• Participate in safety and quality improvement activities.
