Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse to provide peri-operative patient care in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. You will work under the supervision of the PACU Manager or Director of Nursing, delivering direct and indirect care across age groups in alignment with policies and standards.

The role requires at least two years in a critical care environment, valid RN licensure, and the ability to obtain CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years in ICU/ER/Recovery or critical care setting.
• CPR, ACLS, PALS certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise patient care in pre-operative and post-operative areas.
• Provide direct patient care and demonstrate clinical competence.
• Engage in service recovery and keep patients and families informed during operations.
• Review daily schedule and prepare care areas for procedures.
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians, families and staff.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and obtain informed consent.
• Complete post-anesthesia records and ensure discharge criteria are met with post-op instructions.
• Participate in NSH benchmarking programs to ensure quality clinical care.
