Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc seeks a Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an ambulatory surgical center. The role requires current RN licensure in the United States and a minimum of two years in critical care settings, with ability to obtain CPR/ACLS/PALS within 60 days.

You will supervise ancillary staff, review schedules, and ensure accurate pre-operative interviews and post-anesthesia documentation, delivering high-quality care and patient education.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with current US state licensure.
• Minimum of two years of experience in ICU/ER/Recovery or critical care.
• Ability to obtain CPR/ACLS/PALS within 60 days of employment.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in pre-operative and post-operative areas.
• Delegates tasks to ancillary personnel while supervising care.
• Reviews daily schedule and prepares patient care areas.
• Communicates status changes to physicians, family, and staff.
• Performs pre-operative interviews, obtains tests, and informs staff of variances.
• Completes post-anesthesia record and discharge instructions for patients.
• Supports NSH benchmarking programs to ensure quality care.
