Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care in Hermiston, Oregon seeks an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse for pre‑ and post‑anesthesia care, PACU oversight, and patient advocacy. Evening shift, full‑time 36 hrs/week, schedule Mon–Fri, 11:00am–11:30pm with on‑call rotation.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science in Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in Oregon; BLS/PALS/ACLS; TNCC required.
• Conscious sedation certification, CAPA/CPAN certification, ultrasound‑guided IV certification preferred.
• 1 year Critical care or 2 years medical‑surgical experience required.
• PACU, Day Surgery, or ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nursing assessments in pre- and postoperative care.
• Initiate and manage IV access; monitor vitals.
• Administer medications and manage pain.
• Use Aldrete scoring in PACU.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing staff; document in EMR.
