Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, Oregon seeks a Registered Nurse with a perioperative focus for PACU. The RN will provide pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia care, monitor patient status, and support the patient advocate role during the perioperative period.

The position is day shift, full-time (40 hrs/week), with a Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm schedule, on-call rotation, and opportunities to participate in quality initiatives while ensuring patient safety and exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Oregon with perioperative or PACU exposure preferred.
• Experience in pre- and post-anesthesia care settings is desirable.
• Ability to perform assessments and administer medications according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre and postoperative nursing assessments.
• Monitor vitals and airway, assist anesthesia with blocks as needed.
• Administer medications and manage post-anesthesia recovery.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge.
• Maintain documentation in electronic medical record and ensure safety.
