Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, OR is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in perioperative care for PACU. The role includes pre-/post-anesthesia nursing, patient advocacy, on-call rotation, and ensuring high-quality perioperative care. Requirements include RN license in Oregon, 1 year critical care or 2 years medical-surgical experience, and BLS/PALS/ACLS with TNCC. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse License in Oregon
• BLS/PALS/ACLS, TNCC (Required)

Responsabilités

• Completes nursing assessments in pre- and postoperative phases.
• Initiates and manages intravenous access.
• Monitors heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and consciousness; intervenes per guidelines.
• Administers medications and assesses effectiveness; manages postoperative pain.
• Provides patient education and discharge planning.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and adheres to safety protocols.
• Transfers care and delegates tasks per Oregon Board of Nursing guidelines.
