You are a high school graduate who completed an accredited OR Technician program, with AST and BLS certifications required. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician training program.
• Current CST/AST certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures and ensure instruments are ready.
• Assist surgeons and perioperative staff with scrub activities during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention throughout cases.
• Handle, organize, and pass instruments and equipment with care.
• Support patient safety, comfort, and dignity before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist with instrument cleaning and turning over the room between cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers for coordinated care.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and staff education.
