RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking an OR Technician to join our operating room team in Maplewood. You will prepare the OR, assist surgeons and nursing staff, maintain sterile technique, and support patient safety throughout perioperative care.

This hourly role requires completion of an accredited OR Technician program and active AST and BLS certifications, with a commitment to high-quality, safe patient care and ongoing learning in a dynamic surgical setting.

Competenze

• High school graduate who completed an accredited Operating Room Technician training program.
• Current AST certification is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Commitment to patient safety, surgical excellence and professional practice.

Mansioni

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies.
• Provide skilled scrub support for surgeons and nursing staff during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention throughout procedures.
• Assist with direct patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Support maintenance, cleaning and preparation of instruments and OR equipment between procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses and perioperative team for coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement, staff education and professional development.
• Operate within regulatory, accreditation and organizational standards.
