RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking an Operating Room Technician to join our surgical team. You will prepare the operating room, assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures, and help ensure sterile technique and patient safety throughout the operation.

You will work closely with a perioperative team to support efficient workflow, participate in ongoing education, and uphold regulatory standards while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Competenze

• High school graduate who completed an accredited Operating Room Technician training program.
• Current AST certification is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Mansioni

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures with instruments and supplies ready.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff with scrub and intraoperative tasks.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention throughout procedures.
• Handle, organize, and pass surgical instruments and equipment accurately.
• Support direct patient care before, during, and after surgery while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist with instrument maintenance and OR setup between procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and perioperative staff.
• Engage in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
