Qualifications

• High school diploma required and accredited OR Technician training program completed.
• Current AST certification and BLS certification are required.
• Experience with sterile technique and infection control practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring instruments and sterile supplies are ready.
• Scrub and assist surgeons and perioperative team during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Handle and pass instruments and equipment with accuracy and care.
• Assist with patient care before, during, and after surgery to support safety and comfort.
• Support cleaning and preparation of OR equipment between cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
