Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Perioperative Operations to optimize patient flow across Pre-Op, OR, PACU, and related services. The role emphasizes improving first-case on-time starts, throughput, and reducing delays in collaboration with nursing leadership, anesthesia, and surgical teams.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN (or higher preferred), NY RN licensure, CNOR certification, and 3–5 years of perioperative nursing experience with a track record in process improvement

Qualifications

• RN license in New York State (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of perioperative nursing experience required.
• Experience with process improvement or performance initiatives preferred.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and support daily surgical flow across perioperative areas.
• Identify and address barriers impacting case progression and patient throughput.
• Facilitate communication across departments to support alignment with the surgical schedule.
• Support daily operational huddles, including throughput handoff.
• Optimize first case on-time starts and turnover performance.
• Lead and support performance improvement initiatives and standardize processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators and prepare leadership summaries.
• Provide cross-department coordination between Pre-Op, OR, PACU, and SPD.
