Job summary

Tufts Medicine in Boston seeks a perioperative nurse leader to develop nursing staff within a defined practice area and influence patient outcomes through consultation on care issues in addition to perioperative RN duties.

The role covers clinical practice, professional development, collaboration, staff development, leadership and evidence-based practice, with a focus on quality improvement and protocol development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and an active RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on department.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, with clinical specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets, supports, and practices hospital mission in perioperative care.
• Serves as clinical resource and role model for perioperative nursing staff.
• Collaborates with Department of Surgery to educate staff and physicians.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

RN license

BLS certification

ACLS or PALS certificates
