Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a Nursing Leader to plan, organize, and oversee daily clinical and administrative operations on a designated unit. You translate philosophy, objectives, and policies into effective action, prepare staff schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate care to meet patient needs.

You will champion quality, safety and regulatory compliance, supervise staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with physicians and hospital leaders to drive patient outcomes and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Three (3) years of nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Serves as a high-visibility leader, role model and professional mentor; represents a positive image of the unit/practice area to the organization.
Ensures excellence in quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Ensures patient care delivery is safe, of high quality and is cost effective.
Effectively defines and communicates a vision of excellence for the unit/practice area.
Creates opportunities for multidisciplinary forums to solve problems and facilitate planning.
Monitors and ensures excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care on unit/practice area.
