Job summary

Stormont Vail Health seeks an OR Assistant to support the care delivery team across Pre-op, OR, PACU, EP Lab, and Hybrid OR, and possibly Cardiac Cath Lab. You will perform delegated patient care, assist with turnover, and help ensure sterile technique and equipment readiness under RN direction.

The role requires CNA experience or related background, with non-exempt status and a 36-hour work week. You will collaborate with nurses to transport patients and report any concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Certified nursing assistant or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up oxygen delivery and safety, and vital sign monitors for patient transport.
• Verify patient location with read-back to the inpatient unit.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of service areas and OR rooms; restock supplies.
• Assist with turnover between procedures and follow sterile technique under RN guidance.
• Interpret the Schedule board for room starts and turnover decisions.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to staff in a timely manner.
