Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Perioperative Support Specialist in Colorado Springs to assist in PACU, OR, or GI Lab under a Registered Nurse. You’ll help maintain patient flow, cleanliness, and an organized care environment, collaborating with nursing staff to prepare patients for surgery and support safe transport.

You will be involved in cleaning and sterilizing equipment, stocking rooms, and preparing spaces for the next case, showcasing teamwork, attention to detail, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read, write and speak English.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs safe, timely transport of patients interdepartmentally and on discharge.
• Assists in cleaning, sterilization, setup and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Cleans operating room suites or procedure rooms between cases.
• Assists with terminal cleaning of operating rooms as requested.
• Puts equipment, supplies, and instruments away; preps room for next patient.
