Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking an OR Assistant to join the care delivery team across Pre-op, OR, PACU, and related units. The role supports the Surgical team, monitors patient safety, and helps with turnover and sterile supplies under RN supervision.

Requirements include CNA or related experience, ability to read safety documents, and strong manual dexterity. The position involves on-site duties with a 12-hour day shift and 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to assist with patient transport and positioning under RN direction.
• Demonstrates strong manual dexterity and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Set up oxygen delivery systems and monitors for patient care during transport.
• Transport patients using carts or beds between departments.
• Assist with patient positioning and surgical prep under RN/Technologist guidance.
