Job summary

Rolling Hills Developmental Center is seeking a Performance Improvement & Staff Development Coordinator to oversee the design and implementation of PI and staff training programs.

The role focuses on coordinating PI Committee meetings, developing annual in-service schedules, and ensuring staff receive mandated training across shifts. Experience in developmental disabilities is preferred; a minimum high school education is required, with a college degree favored.

Qualifications

• High school education minimum; college degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a role requiring organizational skills with evidence of successful coordination.
• On-the-job training provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stay abreast of current Performance Improvement concepts.
• Coordinate PI Committee meetings.
• Provide data on staff performance as directed by Committee/Administrators.
• Assist the PI Project Committees with their functions.
• Train staff on PI concepts, procedures, and philosophies.
• Ensure data is collected and current on all PI projects and systems in the PI Plan.
• Post data and status of PI Project Committees in public areas on storyboards.
• Develop an annual Staff Development/In-service schedule.
• Ensure staff are assigned and understand expectations of scheduled In-services.
• Implement the In-service schedule and maintain records of trainings.
• Develop curriculum guides for all topics scheduled for presentations.
• Develop curriculums and train-the-trainer courses for hands-on training.
• Ensure new employees receive Phase I and Phase II orientation.
• Ensure orientation sessions are conducted and records kept.
• Include mandated topics required by regulatory agencies and meet timelines.
