Job summary

Carbon Health Temecula, California is seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant - Per Diem to support providers in a fast-paced walk-in clinic. You will greet patients, document vitals and histories, perform phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs, prepare rooms, assist with procedures, and maintain accurate records to keep flow efficient while upholding infection control and safety standards.

This role requires flexibility for 10-hour shifts (8:45 a.m.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of MA or similar clinical support experience, preferably in urgent care.
Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification and CPR/BLS required.
Proficiency in phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs.
Ability to work 10-hour shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

Greet and room patients, document vital signs and histories in the medical record.
Perform phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs per orders.
Prepare rooms, maintain supplies and infection control standards.
Support providers during examinations and minor procedures.
Manage medical records and accurate documentation of encounters.
Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times with front desk and staff.
Complete DOT training for urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests.
Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
