Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc. is seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant to support providers in a fast-paced clinic operations environment.

This full-time hourly role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and excellent communication to ensure a smooth patient flow and positive patient experiences. You will greet patients, perform vitals, blood draws, injections, and EKGs, assist with procedures, and maintain accurate records across the electronic system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant or similar clinical support role.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) and CPR/BLS certification.
• Proficiency in blood draws (phlebotomy) including venipuncture technique.
• Proficiency in administering injections (vaccines/medications) per orders.
• Ability to perform and obtain quality EKGs with proper lead placement.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and EKGs per orders and protocols.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms, ensure infection control standards.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Manage medical records and accurate documentation of encounters and results.
• Answer phones and route inquiries with professional etiquette.
