Job summary

Carbon Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for urgent care operations in Rancho Cucamonga. The role supports providers, handles direct patient care tasks, phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and documentation in a fast-paced clinic.

Expect 10-hour shifts with weekend rotation, strong clinical skills, and excellent communication. Certification and CPR/BLS are required; previous urgent care or ambulatory care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Medical Assistant or similar clinical support role.
• Certification required: CMA, RMA, CCMA or NCMA; CPR/BLS required.
• Proficient in phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs per provider orders.
• Experience with medical records documentation and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients; document vital signs and histories.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs per protocols.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control standards.
• Support providers during examinations and procedures.
• Manage medical records and timely documentation.
• Answer phones professionally and route messages.
• Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times.
• Assist with minor urgent care tasks as needed.
