Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc. is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Medical Assistant. You will work in a fast-paced, paperless clinic, taking vitals, rooming patients, and assisting with procedures. Flexibility for weekdays, weekends, and some holidays is required.

You will perform triage, administer medications, run basic labs and EKGs, and help manage the front desk. DOT drug screens and breath alcohol tests require completion after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (required or state-exemption based on laws).
• Current BLS certification; willing to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, patient history, and triage.
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, wound care.
• Administer medications by intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes; perform ear lavages and EKGs.
• Conduct lab tests including urinalysis, pregnancy tests, glucose tests, rapid strep, flu, and HIV tests.
• Manage front desk duties as needed.
