Job summary

Carbon Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical team and deliver same-day, high-quality care. You will work with providers and front desk staff from rooming patients to supporting same-day procedures.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with exams and procedures, phlebotomy, immunizations, and maintaining EHR documentation. A fast-paced, walk-in environment and readiness to support multiple clinic sites are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent hands-on MA experience.
• Current MA certification/registration as required by state law.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• DOT Drug Screen / BAT certification or willingness to acquire.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, and document chief complaint and history.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and point-of-care testing.
• Administer medications and immunizations per provider order.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supply stock.
• Support patient flow to keep wait times on target.
• Document accurately in the EHR.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols.
• Cover front desk duties as needed (check-in/check-out/phones).
• Be available to work at or transfer to another Carbon Health location as needed.
