Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc in Boston is hiring an Urgent Care Medical Assistant for a full-time role in a fast-paced, paperless clinic. You will take vitals, room patients, assist with procedures, triage, and support front desk operations.

The position requires a Medical Assistant program certification, current BLS, and willingness to obtain DOT certification; 1+ year of MA experience and phlebotomy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (or exemption with experience/diploma/national certification).
• Current BLS certification, willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, patient history, and triage.
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations and wound care.
• Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes; perform ear lavages and run EKGs.
• Conduct lab testing such as urinalysis, pregnancy tests, blood glucose, monospot, rapid strep, influenza, rapid HIV tests.
• Manage front desk and receptionist duties as needed.
• Complete training and become certified with the DOT to perform urine drug screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
