Zusammenfassung

Atrius Health in Norwood, MA, is seeking a Special Procedure Nurse for per diem coverage in a fast-paced Urgent Care setting. You will support the procedural flow, perform pre- and post-procedure care, and provide IV moderate sedation and intra-procedural support across GYN, oral/maxillofacial, oncology, and GI procedures.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensure patient safety, and maintain accurate documentation while upholding confidentiality and high-quality care standards.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an accredited Registered Nurse education program.
• Active and unrestricted RN licensure in MA.
• BLS required; ACLS may be required based on specialty.
• 3+ years of relevant medical/surgical or ambulatory nursing experience.
• Willingness to participate in IV sedation seminars biennially.

Aufgaben

• Support the procedural process as part of a collaborative care team.
• Organize resources and activities to ensure safe, efficient procedural flow.
• Provide specialty-specific care including pre-op assessment, IV moderate sedation, intra-procedural support, and post-op monitoring.
• Perform nursing procedures (IV placement, meds, injections, wound care, EKGs, glucose tests).
• Deliver patient education and ensure documentation and confidentiality.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate data to the care team.
• Administer medications and assist with oncology coordination.
• Maintain safety standards, credentialing, and certifications.
• Contribute to staff education and quality improvement.
• Foster collaboration and program planning for patient flow.
