Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Special Procedure Nurse to join the Urgent Care team in Norwood, MA. You will provide pre- and post-procedure care, IV moderate sedation, and intra-procedural support across GYN, oral/maxillofacial, oncology, and GI settings.

Requirements include MA RN licensure, active BLS, and 3+ years of relevant experience. The role offers a full-time schedule with hourly pay ranging from $35.00 to $63.00 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in MA and active BLS

Responsibilities

• Support the procedural process as part of a collaborative care team
• Organize resources and activities to ensure safe, efficient procedural flow
• Provide specialty-specific care including pre-op assessment, IV moderate sedation, intra-procedural support, and post-op monitoring
• Perform nursing procedures within scope (IV, meds, injections, wound care, EKGs, glucose tests)
• Deliver patient education for peri-procedural care and maintain documentation
• Monitor patient condition and communicate data to the care team
• Assist with oncology care coordination and community resources
• Maintain safety, credentialing, and certifications (BCLS, ACLS, specialty)
• Contribute to staff education, meetings, and quality improvement
• Support patient flow management and program planning
