Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical 6A Orthopedic unit. You will provide comprehensive nursing care on a 36-bed post-surgical unit with 5:1 patient ratio and PCA support for every 12 patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license and BLS certification.
• Experience in acute care, orthopedic/post-surgical units preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts with 5:1 patient ratio and PCA support.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care per policy.
• Coordinate care and supervise team members to meet patient needs.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and care team for continuity of care.
• Document findings and interventions in electronic medical records.
• Promote evidence-based practice and contribute to quality improvement.
