Per Diem Respiratory Therapist (Healthcare)

Responsibilities include:

1. Following schedule and instructions from supervisors in accordance with policies and procedures.
2. Adhering to facility policies and procedures.
3. Conducting focused patient interviews to identify needs and assess changes in condition.
4. Collecting, analyzing, and documenting healthcare data and diagnoses.
5. Planning care outcomes for assigned patients.
6. Performing interventions based on priorities, care plans, and hospital policies.
7. Following emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
8. Promoting effective communication and reporting patient status changes to appropriate personnel.
9. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and reporting any violations.
10. Assuming administrative responsibilities and accountability for duties performed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Minimum Associate Degree from an accredited school.
• Graduate of a respiratory care program.
• Bachelor of Science in healthcare preferred.
• At least one year of respiratory experience in acute/subacute settings preferred.

Skills and Certifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical and regulatory information.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license (if applicable).
• Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift/move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Prolonged computer use.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively.
• Assist in emergency evacuations if necessary.
