Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to support Home Health services. You will implement the treatment plan under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provide patient education, and promote well-being in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified to assist in physical therapy in state of practice
• Access to a dependable vehicle or reliable transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days (preferred)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and mobility assistance (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising PT's treatment plan
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADLs, transfers, and safety
• Observe and report patient responses, coordinating with the healthcare team
• Educate patient, family, and others on therapy within PTA scope
• Function effectively in home environments for diverse patient populations
