Job summary

Packers Staffing is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a partnered facility in the Milwaukee area. The PTA will support the department of therapists, develop treatment plans, and empower residents to participate in activities of daily living.

Per Diem/PRN position with responsibilities including patient screenings, treatment under supervision, and participation in quality assurance and CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealthEMR. Active PTA license required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment.
• Assist in the evaluation and in identifying goals and treatment plans with the Physical Therapist.
• Carry out individual and group treatment as outlined in the plan, including mobility, balance, gait, ROM, and modalities.
• Assist in selecting PT techniques/media and adapt as needed with supervision.
