Elite Home Health, part of the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the treatment plan and educate patients in home health settings. You will work under a supervising PT to enhance patient well-being through prescribed exercises and patient education.

Qualifikationen

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Aufgaben

• Follow state laws and the established plan of care under supervision of a PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and prosthetic training.
• Observe and report patient responses, coordinate care with the health care team.
• Educate patient, family, and care team on therapy within PT scope.
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of patient background.
