Job summary

Starling Physicians in New Britain, CT is seeking an experienced phlebotomy technician to join our satellite lab network. You will perform adult, pediatric, and infant phlebotomy, collect and process specimens, and ensure accurate documentation in LIS.

Travel between satellite sites may be required, with emphasis on patient‑centered care and adherence to safety protocols. Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma are required; a Phlebotomy Technician Certification is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience required.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred; may be required for locations.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and lab requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood cultures using aseptic technique.
• Process specimens and prepare collections for transport to main lab.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform home collection instructions.
• Record results and document properly in LIS and logs.
• Adapt work schedule to meet emergency staffing needs.
• Train new staff on lab policies and procedures.
