Starling Physicians, a VillageMD company, is hiring a Phlebotomy Technician to support satellite locations and main labs. You will perform blood collections, process specimens, and coordinate with clinicians to ensure timely results.

Responsibilities include home collection guidance, H. pylori Breath tests, and compliant documentation. Travel to satellite sites, including Bloomfield and surrounding towns, is required. High school diploma and 2+ years phlebotomy preferred.

Qualificações

• Proficient phlebotomy skills across adult, pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Understanding of specimen collection, labeling and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Familiar with LIS and specimen processing workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Uses aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Processes Stat specimens according to SOP.
• Collects urine/stool samples and educates patients for home collection.
• Administers and collects H. pylori Breath tests.
• Handles orders on minors with proper documentation.
• Delivers and tracks satellite specimens to the main lab.
• Monitors inventory and replenishes supplies in phlebotomy areas.
• Documents callbacks and ensures proper patient charge entries per policy.
• Operates LIS for assigned duties and adheres to downtime procedures.
• Adapts work schedule to meet emergency staffing needs.
