Advocate Health's 60475 IL ACL Laboratories - Lutheran: Phlebotomy is a per diem, part‑time position that supports all three shifts as needed. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen handling, data entry, and collaborating with nursing and lab teams to ensure accurate test processing.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and excellent communication; no prior experience is required. Per diem schedule offers flexible coverage with ongoing training and support from a busy laboratory

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills and typing ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Customer service skills to interface with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsabilités

• Verify patient identification and safety.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens across ages per protocol.
• Label and track specimens; resolve identification/requisition issues.
• Perform limited testing under CLIA guidelines per policy.
• Answer calls; assist with inventory and billing support.
• Instruct staff and students in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• Enter results into the computer system and participate in QA/QC.
