Job summary

Advocate Health's ACL Laboratories - Condell in Libertyville, IL is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist for the 3rd shift (9:00pm–5:30am) with every-other weekend and two holidays per year. The role requires phlebotomy proficiency, patient identification, specimen collection, and basic data entry.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, labeling specimens, assisting with related lab tasks, and communicating effectively with staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy knowledge or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Strong communication and customer Service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification and ensures safety in specimen collection.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from all age groups.
• Labels specimens correctly and ensures proper testing readiness.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA as required by policy.
• Responds to calls, assists with inventory and related duties.
• Orders and verifies test requests and documents quality information.
• Documents results in the computer system and participates in QA activities.
