Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join the ACL Laboratories - Condell: Support Services team. The role involves 4:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m. shifts, 20 hours per week, with rotating weekends and two holidays per year.

You will verify patient IDs, collect specimens, label accurately, and support testing and billing processes. The position requires a high school diploma and 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn to adult patients.
• Ensures proper labeling and testing readiness of specimens.
• Performs CLIA-guided testing and enters results in the computer system.
• Instructs staff and students in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
