Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to support the IL ACL Laboratories - Christ facility. You will perform venipuncture, label specimens, and assist in specimen processing in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Shifts are 12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotation. 20 hours per week. Requires a high school diploma; 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred; strong communication and safety awareness essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of phlebotomy and specimen processing knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification and collects specimens by venipuncture according to protocol.
• Ensures specimens are properly labeled and tracked for testing.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA guidelines per policy and procedure.
• Answers calls, assists with inventory, and supports Billing and other business functions.
